Polar Bear Wallpaper

Here is another wallpaper design that I have been working on today!

Final Whale Wallpaper

Here is my final outcome of my whale design for the project brief 'Sea Storm' which was set by wallpaper designer Kate Usher. I wanted something which was suitable for girls and boys and also adults, So I carefully chose illustrations from my sketchbook and a colour palette which would appeal to all.

Sky Art

WOW. I am in love...

French artist Thomas Lamadieu combines urban photography and line drawings to create his collection 'Sky Art'. I have always liked the idea of mixing photography with drawing, but this is taking it to the next level!
He cleverly uses each building and skyscraper with in his photograph, picking out shapes and lines between the sky and buildings to create each illustrated character.

Multi Directional Pattern Repeat

My first go at experimenting with multi directional pattern repeat! The drawings I have chosen are just random from my sketchbook and I wouldn't necessarily use these for a final pattern repeat but I love this technique!

Brusho brusho brusho!

I just love using brusho to create backgrounds because it is so much fun and messy! Here's one I created by collaging ripped yellow and pink tissue paper then splattering various colours of brusho all over. It compliments my illustrated plant really well.

Kate Usher

The latest project I am currently working on is a task set by wallpaper designer Kate Usher. The brief is to produce two wallpaper designs in line with trends for kids interiors. I am really excited about this project and for the final outcome!

Kate Ushers work is amazing and she really does inspire me. Her designs are so creative and imaginative yet so tasteful and sophisticated, so adults can enjoy them just as much as children.

Here is some of Kate's work...

Gothic Inspired Waist Coat

For a recent project I had to create a gothic inspired waist coat. I gathered ideas from church structures, windows, gargoyles and old rustic gates

Here is my idea sketch...

Run Rabbit

These are my hand illustrated bunny rabbits who love to jump from dimension to dimension. They also carry jewels in their belly's!

I created this for my jewellery business a few years ago.
