It's funny what shapes you can make by just mirroring a simple drawing of a thumb ring. I can spot a ram, fly, another funny looking fly and a strange looking viking bird! 

Gothic project

These are few illustrations I have been working on for my latest project, which has a gothic theme. These motifs came from a simple continuous line drawing of a ring. I then worked in to them using different sized fine liners to create patterns and shapes.

Customized Skateboard Design

Here is my illustrated skateboard design I created for my boyfriend. It involves some flying pigs trying to escape from a very messy, upside down world with fire and mushroom tentacles.

I must admit I am quite proud of how this one turned out and also with how well it has been printed on to the skateboard deck! I had it printed from a company called www.zazzle.co.uk  You can customize just about anything here! From stickers and mugs to pet clothing and dart boards! I will be designing another deck soon so keep your eyes peeled!

Hello! My name is Lucie and this is my blog!

I am currently studying printed and constructed textiles in Newcastle and I also run a small jewellery business using various recycled materials, acrylics and wire work. (But I'll talk more about that later!) 

I am passionate about creativity. I love drawing, designing, making, printing, constructing, experimenting and anything which is arty, crafty and interestingly weird with a satisfying outcome. I am also like a magpie whose vision is only concentrated on shiny, glimmering sparkles, psychedelic patterns and brightly coloured visuals with a hint of grunge.

I have a bit of problem with hoarding interesting  fabrics or paper also beads, thread, ribbon, sequins,  boxes, wire, yarn - basically anything I can make something with, I have a whole room dedicated to weird and wonderful crafty things.  

I am also obsessed with illustration and I often draw in my spare time as I find it therapeutic. I usually draw when there is something on my mind, or if I have a bazaar dream I will try and remember it and draw it. I'm really fascinated by dreaming and how the human brain works whilst your asleep and how you can make up so many realistic situations in your head, also those absolutely insane situations like when you turn in to a half duck half rabbit girl and your sucking in another dimension through a straw and your rabbit minions are jumping through a giant mouth to get to the better side...something like that.
